About Us
SEA WORLD SCUBA DIVING CENTER KOS
Our History
We are Tanja and George, the founders of Sea World Scuba Diving Center Kos, and our story is one of love—for the ocean, nature, humanity, and adventure. We first met in an underwater world, and from that moment, we were determined to share our passion with others. Our work is both a joy and a challenge in a world increasingly impacted by climate change, rising sea levels, and water pollution. Combining academic knowledge in environmental protection with over 25 years of experience in scuba diving business, we strive to make a difference.
Beyond teaching scuba diving as a recreational activity, we are committed to educating our students about coexisting with the ocean and becoming mindful, eco-conscious divers. After 17 wonderful years of running George’s first scuba diving center on Lesvos Island—Lesvos Scuba Oceanic Center—we decided to take the next big step together and in 2019, we joined the chain of diving centers known as Sea World Diving Center, giving birth to Sea World Scuba Diving Center Kos under the bright summer sun.
In just two years, we were thrilled to receive 129 5-star reviews and only one with 4 stars on TripAdvisor, reflecting the professionalism of our team and our dedication to delivering the best possible service. We feel truly blessed that so many people recognize and appreciate our efforts.

Why Choose Us
OUR PHILOSOPHY
For us, you’re not just another tourist, but a valued guest. We’ve dedicated three decades to building this mindset, constantly improving based on your feedback to ensure the highest standards of service. We listen, we adapt, and we never stop evolving to give you the best experience possible. We strive to create an environment that is warm, friendly, and human, the same kind of experience we would want on our own vacations.
INCREDIBLE pLACE TO DIVE
We are proud to be located right next to the stunning Ikos Aria Resort on the beach of Kefalos, with the picturesque island of St. Stefanos just across the water. Our base is perfectly positioned only 30 meters from the sea, surrounded by beautiful nearby reefs. The crystal-clear waters offer visibility of over 25 meters, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 26 degrees Celsius from April to October, making it an ideal diving destination.
EQUIPMENT
Our center is equipped with modern ScubaPro gear, all annually and very well serviced. Our two boats can each accommodate 12 divers and their equipment. One is the 7.5-meter rigid inflatable boat (RIB) and the custom-made 10-meter plastic boat. Both the boat and equipment are regularly serviced and kept in excellent condition to meet all international safety standards. At our scuba diving center, we use top-of-the-line L&W compressors to ensure the highest safety and quality standards for your underwater adventures.

KOSTAS VETAS
Manager, Padi OWS Instructor (PhD in Mathematics)
Konstantinos, a native of the Aegean, has a deeply rooted passion for the sea.
Growing up amidst the crystalline waters and vibrant marine life of Samos Island, he developed an inherent respect for the ocean’s delicate balance. After completing his postgraduate studies in Mathematics in 2018, he unexpectedly
discovered scuba diving and was instantly captivated by the underwater world. This newfound passion led him to Bali in 2019, where he became a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Since then, he has taught all levels of recreational diving in the stunning waters of Lesvos and Crete. Additionally, as a PADI Specialty Instructor, he is dedicated to delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging diving experiences.
His intimate connection with the Aegean continues to drive his teaching philosophy. It inspires him to educate divers with passion and responsibility while encouraging them to explore the ocean’s mysteries. Konstantinos firmly believes that the Aegean offers the perfect setting for every aspiring diver to learn and flourish.

Konstantinos Dimitriadis
Padi OWS Instructor, Free Diving Instructor, Lifeguard
Konstantinos Dimitriadis has had a deep connection to the sea since childhood, spending his free time free diving and spearfishing along the Greek coast. This early passion for the ocean naturally evolved into a professional path, leading him to become a certified Free Diving and Open Water Instructor. His journey has taken him to some of the world’s most beautiful dive locations, including the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand and the crystal-clear waters of Halkidiki, where he guided and ensured the safety of divers from all backgrounds.
With experience as both a dive professional and lifeguard, Konstantinos brings a calm, responsible presence to every dive. He is committed to creating safe, educational, and inspiring underwater experiences that reflect his deep respect for marine life. Through his work, he encourages others to explore the sea with both curiosity and care.

MAX STERLING
Divemaster
As the newest divemaster at Sea World Kos this summer, Max brings energy and enthusiasm to the center. Having just finished his graduate studies at MIT, he’s ready to step out of the classroom and into the sea.
Max’s journey into the underwater world began in 2019 in Thailand, hooking him to the sport. However, he truly fell in love with the profession while working at a dive center in Malta, amidst the Mediterranean’s cavernous topography.
He is excited to start his first season here guiding both certified divers and first timers alike. With a strong focus on safety, he’s ready to share the wonders of the Aegean.
